Faith Goldy Illegally Sells T-Shirts, Presumably to Pay Off Legal Debt

January 3, 2019

Racist and failed Toronto mayoral candidate Faith Goldy owes Bell Media a lot of money – $43,117.90, to be exact.
Job prospects are limited for white supremacists, so Goldy – who has been banned from Patreon and Paypal – has resorted to selling t-shirts with symbols like the Canadian Coat of Arms to make some cash.

Goldy, who fashioned herself as a law-and-order candidate in Toronto’s most recent mayoral race, is likely doing something illegal. The Coat of Arms cannot be used for commercial purposes without the federal government’s permission. Here are 14 words from the Government of Canada’s website that might end Goldy’s retail empire:
“No person shall adopt in connection with a business… the arms, crest or flag.”

UPDATE (January 9, 2018, at 1:52 p.m. EST): A CANADALAND reader followed up with the federal government about Goldy’s use of the coat of arms. Here’s what the folks at the Communications and Federal Identity Policy Centre had to say:
“Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  We have received a number of emails regarding this matter and take these types of complaints seriously.  The Government of Canada does not permit commercial use or reproduction of the official symbols and we are in the process of addressing this issue.”
Goldy did not respond to a request to comment.
